Social Park

Project Description

All-in-one 'parking as a service' platform that uses crowd-sourced data to help drivers find parking spaces

The basic idea is to create an active community involving individuals (e.g. citizens, businesses with private parking, etc.), businesses (e.g. parking service companies) and management authorities, which will provide for shared use, private or public, freely accessible or commercially exploitable parking spaces, but also real-time data for their use, so that their more efficient utilization becomes possible, both for the benefit of society as a whole, as well as for the better commercial exploitation of the provided resources through their appropriate promotion and distribution to the citizens.

SocialPARK aims to create an integrated digital platform for the provision, support and management of personalized parking services (parking-as-a-service) from individuals, parking companies and municipal authorities to citizens. In this direction, the achievement of the following individual objectives will be sought:

  • Utilization of collective knowledge and provision of proposals for more efficient policies for the exploitation of shared parking spaces in urban environments.
  • Provision of personalized services to citizens and sensitive social groups to facilitate finding and reserving parking spaces, as well as a navigation service to them.
  • Management of bulk (periodic or emergency) parking requests, e.g. for the needs of an event or the daily service of a company's employees.
  • Creation of a new value chain (value-chain) linked to parking services and rewarding behaviors for the benefit of the whole.
